• Wash Your Hands. Be sure you don’t use antibacterial soap for this – antibacterial soaps are completely unnecessary, and they cause far more harm than good. Simply use a good non-chemical soap – you’ll save money and not contribute to antibiotic resistance.
  • Optimize your vitamin D levels. This is probably the single most important and least expensive action you can take. You might want to take an additional Vitamin D3 supplement containing at least 2,000 IU’s. This is especially important if you do not get out in the sunshine much. Additionally, Vitamin K2 works synergistically with Vitamin D.
  • Get Plenty of Rest. Your body needs rest to rebuild – aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
  • Address Stress. Stress can have a huge impact on your immune function. Rest, exercise, diet, prayer, recreation and maintaining strong adrenal function are paramount. You might want to take a good adrenal supplement, like Adrenal-Fuel™.
  • Increase Gut Flora. The bacteria in your gut have enormous impact on your immune response. Make sure to get plenty of enzymes, prebiotics and probiotics in your diet. Some natural products, like Aloe Vera, can also help calm the inflammation in the digestive tract.
  • Avoid Sugar and Processed Foods. “Empty calories” affect multiple bodily functions and can lead to more frequent illness.
  • Exercise Regularly. If you are suffering from stress, you should lighten up on your exercise sessions to allow your body to rebuild faster. Heavy exercise is a form of stress and can add to the stress you’re already experiencing.
  • “Let your food be your medicine, and your medicine be your food.” – Hippocrates
Many foods and herbs can act like broad-spectrum antibiotics. Examples include Turmeric, Garlic, Oil of Oregano, Manuka Honey and Garlic. And unlike pharmaceutical antibiotics, they do not appear to lead to resistance.
  • Avoid Hospitals. Try to stay away from hospitals, unless you are having an emergency. Hospitals are breeding grounds for infections of all kinds. The best place to get plenty of rest and recover from illness that is not life-threatening is usually in the comfort of your own home.
  • Take a high quality Super Food. These incredible products contain dozens of powerful nutrients that will help fill the gaps. Typical supplements don’t provide many of the nutrients contained in some of today’s super foods. Here’s an excellent choice.
