healthy lifestyleDr. Kantor recently answered questions about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle for Running and FitNews, a branch of the American Running Association.  He gave suggestions on preventing a sedentary lifestyle, especially for our children.  Should we really be concerned about childhood obesity; yes! One of every three children in this country is overweight or obese, and to change this we have to get the whole family involved.  The focus needs to be on education and rewards/incentives for active and healthy behaviors, not punishment for inactivity. Being active needs to be fun and engaging, only then will we be able to instill healthy habits, or reverse the unhealthy ones.
