Many Americans don’t really understand the impact that Obamacare will have on our daily lives.  It is more confusing than ever with some parts delayed, some changed and others completely scrapped.  So what can we do to protect our health and prevent having to use the system? Dr. Kantor recently spoke with America’s Radio News about just that. He says that we have a broken health care system that focuses on treatment rather than prevention. Who goes to the doctor these days for anything except for severe cold, disease or accident? Aside from insurance exams, no one really does – but we should.  Preventing disease is key and this is where health and wellness programs need to come into play. They work with your employer to help guide and motivate you to live a healthy lifestyle. They help make it easier and less expensive to prevent disease than to treat the symptoms and deal with the broken health care system. Listen for more information.
