health careDr. Kantor was recently interviewed by Healthcare Finance News about pricing transparencies in the health care market.  What will be the effect of the various transparency movements going around the country?  As hospital fees become more apparent, will that reduce the bottom line, improve out of pocket costs for patients? Dr. Kantor believes that the lack of transparency has been a problem with healthcare for years because people don’t know what they actually pay. Transparency will be a good thing because it will cause doctors and hospitals to compete in quality and price, which will help level the playing field.  Since everyone will be seeing higher deductibles, and paying more out of their pockets up front, they will be more likely to shop around. Listen to interview for more information on how Dr. Kantor believes this could effect our health care system.
