Type II Diabetes with the Jewish ExponentRecent studies have shown a link between artificially sweetened drinks and Type II Diabetes.  Dr. Kantor discusses the findings of this study with Elyse Glickman from the Jewish Exponent Magazine.  People must realize that diabetes is linked to sugar and that the alternative of artificial sweeteners is not going to help them.  Artificial sweeteners confuse the body, can slow down its digestion process and lead to insulin resistance. They discuss the overall impact that this has on the body and specifically how this affects diabetics. Dr. Kantor also gives tips for weaning yourself off of these drinks and reminds us of what we already know; the best alternative to sugary or artificially sweetened drinks is water.
