The philosophy; if they can see it, hear it, spell it and engage with it, they are more likely to retain the information.  Even simple changes like including your children in the list making and/or actual grocery shopping and encouraging them to drink more water (it can even be infused with fresh fruit) and less sugary drinks, can have a big impact.
