With over 1/3 of our children now overweight and obese, and the incidence of type 2 diabetes on the rise, it is now more important than ever to take the initiative to live a healthy childrenlifestyle to the children. How can we help them understand the importance of eating healthy and nutritious meals and snacks?  Dr. Kantor shared practical suggestions with WLTP Radio.  For example, swap out sugary fruit juices and sports drinks for fruit infused water and plan ahead for snacks and meals to save time and avoid the fast food options when you are in a rush.  Most importantly, be a positive role model for your children and make healthy eating and living a family affair.
