Did you know that the average American gains 7 lbs between Thanksgiving and New Years?  Dr. Kantor discussed the common reasons for this holiday weight creepweight creep as well as what we can do about it with The Times Record.  The main problem Kantor says, is that we loose some but not at all of that 7 pounds. For example, we’ll gain 7 but only lose 2 or 3, which over the course of 4 or 5 years becomes 8-15 pounds.  This is what we call that weight creep, and it is a contributing factor to our obesity crisis in America. What can we do to prevent it?  Some of Dr. Kantor’s suggestions are to have a plan, drink ½ your body weight in water per day and don’t go to any of your holiday parties hungry.
