The best way to teach healthy living and help people live a healthy lifestyle is to start with educating the children and making nutritious eating fun.  Dr. Kantor recently shared tips for doing this and making this fun with Bonnie Simon of Coffee Time on KATQ Radio.  Kids will try new things and be more curious if you make it fun and engage them in the process!  Sneak lots of fruits and veggies into things like smoothies and yogurt. Make healthy tacos with your kids by simply using seasoned ground turkey with corn tortillas, cheese, lettuce, peppers, tomatoes etc. Pita pizzas are another good healthy option. Top whole wheat pitas with sauce, cheese, veggies, and turkey sausage. Letting the kids help you in the prep and even the shopping is a great way to get them involved. Dr. Kantor also shared healthy snack and drink options for kids, as well great information on his newest children’s book, The Green Box League of Nutritious Justice.
