Many AAffordable Care Actmericans continue to be skeptical about the Affordable Care Act for many different reasons.  Dr. Kantor discussed the reasons why with Bill LuMaye of WPTF News Talk Radio. First of all we know that our officials didn’t even read the law before it was passed, because it was too long.  In fact, Nancy Pelosi said that we have to pass it and then we can read it.  Then add in political scandals, particularly the IRS scandal, and it gives people a very uneasy feeling. The fact that Congress exempted themselves gives us a negative feeling as well.  Why is it good enough for us but not for them?

Political solutions very rarely work in the real world, because no business or common sense solutions are used. For example, the fact that the penalties are not high enough to convince people to spend the money on coverage instead does not follow business sense.  The bottom line is that the major goal to lower costs has not happened at this point; the costs have just been shifted.
