Affordable Care Act with KZIM RadioDr. Kantor recently spoke with KZIM Radio about the Affordable Care Act and it’s actual “affordability.”  The main purpose and original intent of Obamacare was to lower insurance costs and eventually roll them back. However, over the last two years they have actually gone up about $2500 per year and 2013 will show the largest increase in record.  Insurance companies are having to protect themselves by increasing rates across the board to cover the higher costs under new mandates.

They also discussed his book, What Matters, which is a leadership book with a strong emphasis on health care.  This book includes information on the Blue Ribbon Advisory panel which Dr. Kantor led to come up with savings for our health care system. This panel came up with $253 billion per year in savings with no mandates by using common sense solutions and back to the basics principles.

All in all, Dr. Kantor says the best way to get around Obamacare is not too use it and the best way to avoid using it is to lead a healthy lifestyle and prevent diseases before they occur.
