NUTRITION PLANS: A person with substance abuse is more likely to relapse when they are malnourished. This is why healthy meals are important. Research suggest drug and alcohol addiction they may cause drug cravings in addition to food cravings in a state of malnourishment. The person should be encouraged therapeutically to think that they may be hungry when cravings become strong.

Recovery from substance abuse:
A person in recovery is often more likely to overeat, particularly if they were taking stimulants. It is important to eat healthy meals and snacks and avoid high calorie junk foods with low nutrition, such as sweets. In some cases if weight gain has occurred, eating foods that are nutrient dense not calorically dense is a strategy that can be used to avoid further weight gain, promote weight loss and most importantly prevent health related issues to increased levels of body fat.

At N.A.M.E.D. Program we have developed specifically designed menus for those undergoing substance abuse recovery.

N.A.M.E.D. Program is the only program that concentrates on not stimulating the opiate receptors or even suppressing them naturally through specially designed menus. This lowers the cravings for the abused drug, increases the successful withdrawal rate and lowers the relapse rate.

The program also lowers the inflammation in our bodies, which causes the insulin production to work incorrectly.

This malfunction causes cravings for sugar or causes the body cells to release sugar which stimulates the opiate receptors, increasing the cravings for the abused drug. This is done naturally with higher alkaline menus and stable alkaline water, since inflammation is caused by having an acidic Ph. All of this is done in a controlled environment in conjunction with conventional methods such as counseling.

Not stimulating the opiate receptors is one of the keys to successful withdrawal and also lowers the relapse rate.
