Recently we have seen a trend with more and more parents looking for healthier alternatives to they typical sugary treats.healthier easter  So what are they and are there really alternatives that are going to make kids happy?  Dr. Kantor shares his best tips and tricks in this interview with WFIN Radio. He reminds us that we don’t need to make them give up everything. It is fine to enjoy treats in moderation but there are a few tricks that can help cut down on some of the more unhealthy options. He suggests including little toys instead of just food; for example plastic eggs filled with plastic spiders for boys or play jewelry for girls.  For the sugary treats, the healthier treats out there are the darker chocolates. They tend to be healthier and have less chemicals, trans fat and hydrogenated oils.  You can also make your own homemade crème filled chocolate eggs, which really is easy!
