Dr. Keith Kantor predicted earlier this year that the more unpopular parts of Obamacare would be delayed due to political reasons. He discussed this prediction, and its realization, with Susan Eustis of WinterGreen Research. First the choices available in exchanges were delayed until October of 2014, until then people will be left with only one option. The component for long term care, mostly for the elderly, was deemed unworkable and thus scrapped. Then, it was recently announced that the employee mandates are delayed until January 1, 2015. Dr. Kantor believes that the popular and unpopular parts of Obamacare are too interconnected for this plan to work. In this interview, he and Susan Eustis discuss these Obamacare related issues, the importance of preventing disease, and where we go from here.
This is a preview to a blog that will be featured on WinterGreen Research.
