Dr. Kantor recently discussed corporate health and wellness programs, and things to consider when starting one, with the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Kantor suggests that you first have to establish your goals. Are you trying to attract employees, keep health care costs down, or to increase productivity through less absenteeism? Once you identify your goals, you need to focus on creating a diversified program that centers around engagement.  A good program will motivate employees through fun competitions, contests, tracking progress with points and offering prizes and incentives for things like losing weight and lowering blood pressure. Dr. Kantor knows firsthand since his company Service Foods Inc, has earned 2nd place for Atlanta’s Healthiest Companies three years in a row by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.  He also has his own health and wellness company, Green Box Foods, which provides the “missing-link” to great health – easy access to affordable, natural and organically grown foods, coupled with personalized meal planning and tracking.
