How Will Businesses Feel the Impact of Obamacare?

Bloomberg NewsObamacare with Bloomberg Radio Radio and Dr. Kantor discuss the impacts that Obamacare will have on small businesses, and specifically the restaurant industry. According to reputable data collection companies, studies have shown that 57% of small businesses will drop their employees insurance coverage and pay the penalties under Obamacare. Since many restaurants have fewer than 50 employees they will be greatly impacted by this. They discuss how new trends are forming in the restaurant industry, with more of a focus on smaller portions and healthier options. Dr. Kantor believes that this is not a result of new mandates, but rather is an overall trend towards people wanting to live a healthier lifestyle. They also discuss health and wellness companies, like Green Box Foods, that are partnering with corporations to help guide their employees toward a healthy lifestyle by providing nutrition advice, recipes, exercise tips and more.
