Obesity with WESR RadioDr. Kantor believes that obesity is a disease, and should have been declared a disease a long time ago. He discusses this topic with Melody Scalley of WESR Radio.  They talk about some of the issues and other medical problems that obesity can cause as well as some of the reasons that our country is becoming so overweight.  Dr. Kantor suggests that we cut our sugar intake, educate our youth and follow a few simple rules to maintain a healthy lifestyle.  To prevent obesity we must have proper nutrition, adequate hydration, adequate sleep and at least 3 1/2 hours of exercise per week.  There is no quick fix or pill, we just need to eat whole non-processed foods and be aware of what we put into our bodies.  Listen to this interview for more information on obesity, ways to prevent it and ways to overcome it.
