Dr. Kantor spoke with Shelley Irwin of WGVU Radio about New Year’s resolutions and how to plan for a healthier 2014.  With more than ½ the healthier 2014population in this country considered overweight, losing weight is a common resolution to make but is rarely kept. The average “new year diet,” is usually kept for only 3 weeks. Where do we start so that we be successful? Dr. Kantor says that it is very important to start with the correct mindset. Make a resolution to start living a healthy lifestyle, not to lose weight. If you work in small steps towards this goal without worrying about the weight, you will be more successful. This will improve your health and as an added benefit you will inevitably lose the weight.

Dr. Kantor also talked about his newest book, The Green Box League of Nutritious Justice. This book is an interactive children’s book that features characters like “Knute Trition,” “X R Size” and “Ed U Cation” who battle against the bad guys, “OBCD” and the “Sugar Shark”, otherwise known as the Legion of Unhealthy Injustice. It is a really fun book that kids and their families will enjoy and can engage in together. The book also offers 25 healthy menus, health and safety tips, exercises and more.  Check back soon for the official release date!
