Memorial Day is the unofficial start to the summer, a time where we want to look and feel great and enjoy outdoor barbeques with friends. Children can be more active during the summer enjoying time outside playing, but often times with summer foods like hamburgers, hot dogs and soda, they end up gaining weight. Dr. Kantor was a recent guest on Radio Disney to talk about modifying summer foods and treats so that they are healthier but still enjoyable.  He suggests that parents swap juice and soda for fruit infused water, use the grill for cooking lean proteins and veggies, and plan ahead when they know they will be away from home. They also talk about Dr. Kantor’s newest book, The Green Box League of Nutritious Justice, which is a must read for families.  With over 75 recipes, exercises that families can do together, comics and more, it is a great resource for healthy living.  Listen to this great interview for more information on having your healthiest summer yet!
